Who qualifies?
- NVQ/SVQ Level 3 or higher in a construction trade or
- Approved indentured apprenticeship (e.g. NJCBI, BATJIC) or
- Employer-sponsored apprenticeship that awarded a City & Guilds Advanced Craft Certificate
No formal qualification yet? Already experienced on site? Enrol on an NVQ 3 and pick up a CSCS Red Experienced Card while you complete it.
What else you’ll need
- CITB Health, Safety & Environment Test passed within the last 2 years (at the correct level for your trade). Unsure which test? Use our 30-second Card-Finder Tool.
How to renew CSCS Gold Skilled Worker Card?
You'll need to pass the CITB HS&E Test within the last 2 years to renew your Card.
If your Card has been expired for more than a year, then additionally you'll need to submit your qualification evidence to us.

Do you need a physical copy of your current CSCS Gold Skilled Worker Card?
In case you have lost your CSCS Card, or it's broken or stolen, then you can order a replacement for your CSCS Card.
