CITB is the Industry Training Board for construction sector in Great Britain. It supports and encourages construction related employees by providing required skills to work safely and efficiently. CITB provides a standard which when followed by an employee gives the employer in the construction industry an assurance that they're more eligible to work in the construction environment than others.

About the Operatives HS&E test
The Operatives test is a basic level test for a worker which checks whether they have an awareness of health, safety and environmental before going on site. This test covers the five core knowledge areas including legal and management, health and welfare, general safety, high risk activities, and environment. Also, Behavioural case studies are used in the test to check a candidate's understanding of health, safety and environmental issues, and how to behave safely on-site.

*Candidates must provide additional evidence if their name has changed since the ID document was issued. This additional evidence must be original and show a clear link between the name shown on the candidate’s ID and their current name, such as a marriage or civil partnership certificate, a decree absolute or decree nisi papers or a deed poll.
